Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains how Pick & Shuffle (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit picknshuffle.com (the “Site”).
Information we collect
The Site is a static website. It has no user accounts, sign-up forms or payments, and we do not ask you for personal information to use it.
- Technical data. When you load a page, your browser sends standard request data (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to our hosting provider and to any third-party services listed below.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us or use the “Feedback” button, your own email app sends us a message. We receive your email address, the content you write and the details pre-filled in the message (page address, time, page language and browser information). You can edit or remove these details before sending.
Name lists and results
The name picker processes pasted names, imported text files and draw results in browser memory. The tool does not send those values to our server or analytics and does not save them in local storage. Clear the list or close the page to discard the session. Downloaded files and copied text remain wherever you save or paste them.
Third-party services
The Site uses the following third-party services. Each one processes data under its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare (hosting and CDN): Delivers this website. Like any web server, it processes your IP address and request details to serve pages and protect the site against abuse. Privacy policy
- Privacy-friendly analytics (app.pageview.app): Counts page views in aggregate without cookies and without building personal profiles.
Cookies and local storage
The classroom student picker saves class names and rosters to this browser only when you choose Save class. Attendance exclusions and lesson selection history are not saved. Saved rosters are shared by all language versions of this site, are accessible to users of the same browser profile, and are not uploaded or synced to other devices. Use Delete saved class or Clear all saved classes and current lesson to remove them; clearing browser site data also removes them.
The raffle winner picker and history-aware group generator can also save a snapshot in this browser when you explicitly choose to save. Save again to include later changes. The classroom scoreboard saves valid names, scores and settings when its optional browser-saving setting is enabled. These records are shared across this site’s language versions and are not synchronized between devices. Use the tools’ delete controls or clear browser site data to remove saved records.
The Site itself does not set cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage to remember your theme preference and whether you dismissed the language suggestion banner. Third-party services listed above may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How we use information
We use the information above to deliver and secure the Site, understand which content is useful, display ads where enabled, and reply to your messages. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep emails you send us only as long as needed to respond and to keep a reasonable record of the conversation. Data processed by third-party services is retained according to their own policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to its processing. To make a request, email us at hi@picknshuffle.com.
Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
