Thanksgiving conversation questions
What is the difference between gratitude and dinner conversation cards?
Gratitude mode has 16 prompts about everyday kindness, small comforts and people to appreciate. Dinner conversation has 16 lighter questions about food, imagination and gathering together. Choose either tab on this page; both can be edited and drawn without repeats in their own round.
How do I start a Thanksgiving conversation without putting people on the spot?
Choose two or three light prompts and let the host answer the first one briefly. Invite people to share, pass or draw another card. Use one question between courses or at each place setting rather than asking everyone to give a long speech.
Can I use the gratitude cards with children or at work?
Review the questions for your group first. The gratitude starter bank is intended for readers aged eight and up, with adult help when needed. For a class or workplace, adapt the wording to everyday learning and kindness, and let everyone decide how much to share.
Are these Thanksgiving trivia questions with correct answers?
These two modes are open conversation prompts, not a scored holiday-history quiz. There are no supplied correct answers or answer sheets. A short opinion, a story or a pass can complete a turn; the aim is to make it easier to start talking.
How can I print Thanksgiving conversation cards for the table?
Select 2, 3 or 4 cards per row and print the edited deck, or save it as a PDF through your browser. The compact layouts make small cards to cut out, place beside plates or draw from a bowl. No printer is needed if the host reads from the screen.
Can I change or skip a Thanksgiving question?
Yes. Edit or remove prompts before starting; editing clears that mode’s draw history. During a round, draw the next card when someone wants to pass. The skipped entry still counts as drawn, so it will not return in that round. Switching modes keeps their separate progress.
